iCraneTrax Update
The updates are designed to make iCraneTrax easier to use...
- New, straightforward page layouts make your information easier to find.
- Decreased page load times make the site more responsive.
- Easier to use on tablets and mobile devices.
- Larger input fields and wider pages let you see more information without scrolling.
Toolbar
The new toolbar keeps you one click away from any page no matter where you are on the site.
Tip... Use your browser tabs!
For example, if you want to edit several cranes, select "Search... Cranes" from the toolbar, then hold down the Control key when you click on a crane.
The page to edit the crane will open in a new browser window.
Open as many tabs as you'd like.
When you are done editing the cranes, close the tabs and the crane search page will still be open.
This strategy will work anywhere on the site.
"Quick Search" is still the easiest way to find a specific item.
Simply type some text in the search box, press "Enter", and you will see a list of all matching customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, etc.
Table Pagination
No longer will hundreds or thousands of results be listed on the List-View and search pages, dramatically decreasing page load times.
Use the buttons to navigate to the first, previous, next, or last page in the table, or click the text and type in which page to jump to.
Popup Pages
On the List-View page...
Click the new icon to open a popup window where you can edit the job dates and status without leaving the List-View page.
The popup window also displays basic information about the job.
On the input pages...
On all the input pages you will see boxes like these.
The boxes shown here are listed on the Job page.
Click the "Add" button to add a note, task, or appointment to the job.
The numbers in the boxes tell you that two notes and one appointment are connected to this job.
Click the "Popup" button to view those notes or appointments.
Expandable/Collapsible Input Groups
All the input pages now contain expandable input groups in an effort to declutter the complex pages.
To expand or collapse the box simply click anywhere in the gray area.
New Home Page
The lightweight home page loads more quickly than before.
All your recently-viewed items are still listed here.
The calendar functionality has been moved to a separate page which can be accessed via the toolbar.
